Lindy Hou suffers from a degenerative eye condition called Retinitis Pigmentosa, and by 1996 she had become legally blind. For many people losing their sight would have meant the end of being involved in sports and life; not so for Lindy. She went on to win six medals in the 2004 and 2008 Paralympic Games.
Recent event 30km Coastrek
Lindy and her ‘We Are Family’ team completed the 30km Coastrek challenge on 15 March 2019 to raise money for the Fred Hollows Foundation. Lindy’s motto on the Coastrek became: “Stepping Stones are just Challenges to Success”. Read more about the trek in Comet’s Tail
