My name is Flash, also known as “Flat Out Flash”. I am either Flat Out working or Flat out sleeping.

I am a medium black male labrador with a small white spot on my chest. I’m pretty adaptable in all environments and I love to work! I am happy to spend time with the family, other dogs, or by myself. I might grab the occasional stick to chew if I see a good one, and I’m friendly and fun with other dogs.

[The above was the description sent to Lindy after matching meeting.]

I was born on 16th March 2023 and spent the first 14 months of my puppy life with my puppy raising family in Wollongong.

I graduated from Guide Dogs School at the end of 2024.

I came to live with Lindy and Aunty Polly on 13 January 2025, then Lindy began her handler training with me on 3 February.

After learning our usual routes and trying hard to ignore other friendly dogs while taking Lindy to places, I got the medallion. So Lindy and I are a fully qualified team.

As a cultured Guide Dog, I have been to theatres, museums, the Film & Sound Archive, garden tours and many more.

I also had the chance to help Lindy with her new sport of Dragon Boating and attempted to help her to sweep the Dragon Boat.

I am flat out running around or sleeping, so do please read my latest Flat out Flash news and subscribe to receive my next one.
